Through the Faculty of Science and Technology, Fernando Pessoa University responded to the Ministry of Education's directives that private education should invest in technological fields.
In non-massified education, within a familiar and welcoming environment, with great support and proximity from teachers, the student, through their work, effort, and commitment, can develop their full learning potential, acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for adequate integration into active working life.
The main scientific areas that make up the Faculty are the areas of Environment, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Health and Safety, Quality, and Architecture.
The courses at this Faculty are aligned with the so-called “Bologna Process,” featuring 1st cycle studies (bachelor's degrees), 2nd cycle studies (master's degrees), and 3rd cycle studies (doctorates). In the case of the Architecture and Urbanism course, due to reasons associated with Community Directives, the training lasts for 5 years, in a single cycle of study (integrated cycle), which leads to a Master's degree.
First-cycle studies last for 3 years, second-cycle studies last for 2 years, and third-cycle studies last for a minimum of 3 years.
Welcome to the Faculty of Science and Technology!
